Hamsterslang

Independent music culture in Berlin would look very different without Christof Ellinghaus, aka Hamsterslang. He has been at the helm of City Slang Records since 1990, which has placed him at the heart of several generations of indie rock and alternative music. He also raised DJ Victor, which gives him a family connection to the Dekmantel Selectors crowd. Behind the decks, Hamsterslang draws on decades of knowledge and experience, and his sets are an education in the records that shaped independent music. He has played Dekmantel Selectors, adding to the festival's family atmosphere.
