Ilian Tape

Munich's Ilian Tape was founded in 2007 by the Zenker Brothers and quickly changed the game. The roster spans Argentina to Japan and thrives on human-touch electronic music: techno, house and electronica with personality rather than hype. The beats are broken and dusty, the grooves rough and authentic, and there is always an experimental energy that stays true to the label's ethos of doing what they love. That ethos extends to the label's showcases, and Ilian Tape has hosted its own boat party at Dekmantel Selectors, an extension of the same no-frills approach.
