Nina Welch

Brussels-based DJ Nina Welch weaves shadowy, emotional worlds through sound. A devoted digger with a vast knowledge of wave, post-punk and folk, she draws on that to thread narrative journeys, most notably in her acclaimed Kiosk Radio shows. On the dancefloor, Nina shifts gears into darker, tribal territory: hypnotic slow-burners laced with punk spirit and ritual energy. Equal parts mystic and rebel, Nina's sets manage to be both eerie and achingly human, and they tend to leave dancers feeling something unfamiliar.
