Hamatsuki & Skyra (live)

Hamatsuki & Skyra provide a direct line into the deeper end of the Tbilisi terrain, transmitting their vision of dreamy, downtempo house music from within the cosy cocoon of the city's Bassiani club. As with much of the dance music from Georgia, there is an urgency tucked away in what the duo conjure when they entwine their talents for a live set. Even the tenderest tones come charged with an electricity that reaches well beyond the limits of typical back-room fare. This is meditative music for the main floor, cast in mellow melodics and driven by finely chiselled drums that find their mark without a hint of friction.
