Helmond Lang

Helmond Lang deals in slippery forms of modernist freakery sliding between techno, bass, trip-hop and hyper pop. Based in Rotterdam, Lang is cultivating a strong identity around her penchant for maverick sound design and sound system structures, think extravagant synth hooks warping across the top of staggered drums and looming sub bass. Last year she tore up The Nest at Dekmantel Festival with dirtydms, and her Selectors debut promises an abundance of flair from a DJ who knows how to have fun while sounding deadly serious.
